Welcome
- All parents in attendance
- The 2 teacher members of the committee were excused due to family emergencies.
Introduction of members
- We went around the room, and everyone introduced themselves to the group. We have 3 new members joining the council this year.
Review of Recommended Timeline
- The timeline was shared with the group.
- Returning members shared why they like being a part of the SCC. They explained their view on their roles as SCC members.
Elect a Chair/Co-Chair (Chair needs to be a parent)
Rules of Order and Procedure (Discussion/Approval)
- Kathy Christiansen gave Jasilyn a copy of the Order and Procedure that she will follow as chair.
- This included how to make nominations, ask for motions, and voting.
Other
- We discussed the Individual Reading Plan Legislation and how it affects us at the school
- We spent time talking about the meetings we held on Monday.
Upcoming District Training (Members were encouraged to join this meeting virtually).
