- Members introduced themselves
- We discussed the recommended timeline.
- Kaiann was assigned to review the required website information.
- Layla Semanoff was elected chair (by the parents)
- Kaitlyn Call was elected cochair (by the parents).

- Discussed data regarding last year’s
- This will be presented formally at our next meeting
- We also discussed a school policy of no treats for birthday due to student health concerns at our school
- A UDOT grant is available for Safe Schools Routes
- We will look into this regarding possible sideways being built along 100 North to create a continuous safe path to our school.

- School Safety and Digital Citizenship Report - Clayton White:
- Helpful toward education
- -- training- digital responsibility: how to effectively use technology that is safe and not harmful (mental & physical)
- Internet filtering: iBoss-- not full proof but does a great job
- Generated from a National database, automatically updates
- Additional management tools: GoGuardian allows teachers to monitor and alerts administration
- Student Email Accounts:
- Social Media: the school board made a policy that they do not allow social media on the network
- The team has debates with instagram rather than students getting around the network

- (Q: from Laylah) Where does YouTube fall? We have a safe YouTube, some contents are blocked-- a safe youtube site that only shows what you are looking for. Free YouTube downloads.

- Trustlands/TSSA Plans Data and Budgets:
- Funds went to: Mrs. Jex (successful for last year) and 80% proficiency in GoMath (met it)
- This year still using funds to pay for Mrs. Jex and new math goal for 80% proficient in iReady assessment
- Enough funds for 22.5 teachers-- used to add another third grade teacher
- 50% of the budget remaining-- for salary.
- Trustlands:
- Goal #1- met
- Goal #2- did not meet the reading goal-- covid played a big role with younger grades not meeting goal
- Current Goals: Plan was approved last spring- keeping the same goals as last time and breaks down the money
- ---Chrome books out of both plans? Yes! One was the touch screens and one was for the upper grades new cart.
- Positive Behaviors Plan:
- The state is requiring every school to have this year, to formally submit a plan.
- We need to teach behavior the same way we teach reading and math
- 1. Behavior Boot Camp (1st week of school) Same person gave same information to all the students (at their different stations)
- 2. Teach Social Skills: (Boys Town) teaches specific skills
- 3. Classroom Rules: This year, we have the same rules school wide
- Consistent so that the same rules apply everywhere.
- Precision Request: giving students 3 chances to follow the rules
- Discipline Flow Chart: gives more clarity for what teachers vs administrators handle

- Attached Paper - About $15,000, which is enough to finish out the school year.
- Teacher Salary - used to get a full-time teacher (it probably will come out at the end)

- Birch Creek teachers like the idea of a growth goal - on their way to meeting an expected goal Trudy will meet with teachers and come up with a percentage, then next meeting we will vote on it and decide which plan to put it in.

- The past few years, we have been focused on Acadience Reading
- Grade Level teachers met and wondered if we could do HMH goals
- What group do you want to see the most change in?
- Measurement goal with "below-level"
- Acadience goal for K, 1, 2???
- Focus on 3-6??
- Kathy - goals should be what is going to work best for our students.
- Holly Harris & Trudy thought: Below level percent from BOY to MOY would decrease by 20%

- 2 or 3 Chromebook labs expiring soon
- We have about 15.5 labs

- Trustland Plan Approval:

- Action Steps: broken down by the different things we will do, tagged to money
- $31,000 is about the cost of two aides
- Programs we use
- Other practices we use... Ties in with RC programs & Starfall, Follett ($5000)
- Chromebooks... we need about 130 Chromebooks and 2 carts

- Kaiann is wondering about Chromebook carts that hold the cords better moving forward.

- Math Goal: Median progress towards typical growth will be 50% (or higher) at the MOY iReady Diagnostic Assessment.

Update on Walking Routes:

Mayor Monson says that the city will re-stripe the crosswalk at the intersection by the white fence.
- The chunk of sidewalk by the fire department is problematic, because whenever you do sidewalks by train tracks it takes an "act of God."
- Anticipate the need for better traffic near the temple.
- Possibly a sidewalk all the way to the temple.

- Goal of 85% proficiency in K-4 grades for reading (Acadience Test)

- 4th Grade: 84% (no change)
- Reading Composite scores measure differently.
